Walker Alan Rushton, 21, of Fernandina Beach, Florida passed away Monday, March 23, 2020, as a result of injuries sustained in an automobile accident.
Walker was born in Macon, Georgia on September 4, 1998, moved to Fernandina Beach in July 2000. Graduated from Fernandina Beach High School, Class of 2017. In high school he played on the football and wrestling teams and loved the culinary arts. Walker was an avid reader, loved to write, cook, watch Anime, and play video games. He was always searching for more knowledge. His smile and personality lit up any room he entered. Walker’s gift in life was to make everyone laugh, feel special and loved.
He worked for Tasty’s in Fernandina Beach for many years, the Humane Society and was currently employed with Lagniappe restaurant in Fernandina Beach.
Walker is survived by his mother, Jackie Barnes Rushton of Fernandina Beach, Father Jerry Rushton of Fernandina Beach, 2 brothers, Korey Barnes of Fernandina Beach and Dallas Barnes (Jessica) of Callahan, Florida; 1 sister, Rachelle Rushton; 2 nieces, 2 nephews in Batesville, Arkansas; many loving Aunts and Uncles, cousins and wonderful extended family and friends and his loving dog, Loki.
