Spencer Aaron Griffis

Spencer Aaron Griffis 24, of Fernandina Beach Florida passed away on August 7, 2021. He was born September 17,1996 in Jacksonville, the son of Richard and Susan (Ellis) Griffis. He attended Yulee High School and graduated in 2015. Spencer attended Tulsa Welding School in Jacksonville, he also worked as a Millwright and recently started his own business, Griffis Water Services.

Although he was only 24 at the time of his death, Spencer affected many people in his lifetime. He was a fun loving, sweet spirited person with a giant heart. He loved operating heavy equipment, fishing, hanging out at the pond with his friends, cooking on his smoker and spending time with those he loved most.

Spencer is survived by his parents Richard Griffis, Susan Ellis Griffis; his brother Jonathan; his paternal grandmother Louise Williams of Callahan; his Uncle Dwight (Cindy) Griffis of Fernandina Beach; his Uncle Robert (Joey) Griffis of Jacksonville; his Aunt Cathy (John) Nusbaum of Northwest Florida; his Aunt Rebecca (Keith) Davidson of Northwest Florida; his Uncle David (Miriam) Laird of Northwest Florida;his Dog Hank and several cousins. Preceded in death by paternal grandfather, Leo Bentley Griffis; maternal grandparents William Spencer and Sharon Ellis and his aunt Deborah Sue Griffis.

The services will be Saturday August 14, 2021 at The Journey Church on Amelia Concourse Fernandina Beach. Viewing at 10am service to follow at 11am.
