James Keith Merrey Obituary

James “Keith” Merrey, 69, of Callahan passed away Friday, March 27, 2020.

Mr. Merrey was born in Meridian, MS, the son of Warren Floyd and Dorothy Jane Barber Merrey. He moved to Callahan 14 years ago from Jacksonville, FL.

He was the director of the Meals on Wheels program in Jacksonville. Mr. Merrey was of the Christian Faith and loved to help people. He was also a volunteer and substitute teacher with Nassau County Schools.

He was predeceased by his wife, Kathryn Merrey and by his parents.

He is survived by his daughter and son in law, Jamie and Jonathan Ball of Yulee, FL and by a sister and brother in law, Lynne and Rodney Ghioto of Orlando, FL.

A private graveside ceremony will be held at Green Pine Cemetery on Wednesday, April 1.
