Harry Jones, Jr. Obituary

Harry E. Jones, Jr., 61, passed away June 27, 2021 at his Alma, GA residence.

Harry was born February 27, 1960 in Jacksonville, FL and spent most of his life living in what was the Chester area of Yulee, FL before moving to Alma a year and a half ago. He was a member of the 1978 graduating class of Fernandina Beach High School.

He was a veteran of the U. S. Marine Corps.

Harry was preceded in death by his father, Harry E. Jones, Sr. and a brother, Jessie “Buster” Jones.

Survivors include his wife, Paula Jones of Alma, GA; step daughter, Dianna Douglas of Alma; his mother, Jimmie Jones of Yulee; brothers, Bill Jones (Merena), Wayne Jones (Dee) and George Jones (Cristina), all of Yulee; a sister, Debby Steele (Thad) of Fernandina Beach, and two grandchildren Ethan and Maddison Douglas of Alma.

Harry was a devoted husband, father and papa. He loved fishing, shrimping, and boating.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, June 30, in the Stephens Chapel at Green Pine Funeral Home with Pastor David Deen officiating. Interment will follow in Green Pine Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. until the time of service Wednesday at the funeral home.
