Glenda Faye (Crowley) Gaines

Glenda Faye Crowley Gaines, 72, of Yulee passed away Monday morning, February 25, 2019 at Baptist Medical Center in Jacksonville, FL.

She was born in August 18, 1946 in Fitzgerald, GA, the daughter of the late James and Virginia Duke Crowley. 

Mrs. Gaines was a member of Yulee Baptist Church for 36 years where she enjoyed the Dorcas Sunday School Class, volunteering in various positions, and Gracie's Kitchen.  She loved her church family.  She loved the Daycare and the children she took care of for around 30 some years.  Mrs. Gaines was also a Nanny to many children.  She worked at Methodist Hospital in Jacksonville and the Amelia Island Plantation.

Survivors include her husband, Robert M. Gaines; son, James Clifford Gaines of Fernandina Beach, FL; daughter and son in law, Barbara Lynn and Kelly Hill of Craig, CO; grandsons, Hill, Clay and Reed Gaines of Yulee, FL; granddaughters, Jennifer, Melissa, Angela and Tiffany of Craig, CO; great grandchildren, Kassidy and William of Craig, CO; and brother, John Crowley of Albany, GA.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, March 2, at Yulee Baptist Church with Reverends Doug Sides and Tom Keisler officiating.  Interment will follow in Green Pine Cemetery.  The family will receive friends from 12 noon until the time of service Saturday at the church.
