Diane Messer Obituary

Diane King Thomas Messer, 72, passed on to her Heavenly home Thursday morning, August 12, 2021, at her residence.

She assisted with the Youth Group at St. Johns Presbyterian in the 1990’s and was a volunteer at the Murray Hill Theater, a Christian night club. Prior to her retirement, she was employed by Life-Care Home Health and was known for her dedication to the mission of the company.

Survivors include her husband of 43 years, Wally Messer; daughters, Sherry Messer Warner (Rob), Kim Thomas (Ben Porter) and Jessica Messer Holtom; step daughter, Jennifer Stagg; brother and sister in law, Rick and Sue Messer; sister in law Cathy Messer Brown; 11 grandchildren; several nephews; her neighbors and her friends.

Diane was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She was a loyal friend and extended kindness to all she met.

There will be a celebration of her life at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, August 21, at The Church at Argyle, 6823 Argyle Forest Blvd., Jacksonville, FL 32244, with Pastor Rick Painter officiating. The family will receive friends from 2:00 p.m. until the time of service Saturday at the church. Those attending are encouraged to wear a mask due to the recent surge in Covid infections.

Our family is grateful for the loving and excellent care given to Diane during her extended illness by her sister in law, Cathy Messer Brown.
