Daniel Dinkins

Daniel Dinkins, 69, of Yulee, FL passed away Tuesday afternoon, June 29, 2021, at Baptist Medical Center in Fernandina Beach.

He was born in New Castle, IN and had resided in Yulee for most of his past 22 years.  He was a member of Amelia Baptist Church.  Some of Daniel’s ministries with church were that of an associate pastor, choir member, Sunday school teacher and elder.

During his distinguished civil service career he achieved many awards.  He was employed at Kings Bay Submarine Base for 26 years.  He was also a veteran of military service serving as a Staff Sergeant with the U. S. Marine Corps.

There will be a memorial service at Amelia Baptist Church, 961167 Buccaneer Trail, Fernandina Beach, FL 32034 with Dr. Neil Helton and Father Brad Cunningham officiating.

Daniel was predeceased by his parents, Raymond and Marjorie Dinkins and a brother, Tom Dinkins.

Survivors include his wife of 25 years, Kate Dinkins; two sons, Anthony Figueroa and Brendan Dinkins; two daughters, Skye Dinkins and Bridgett Dinkins; his father and mother in law, Richard and Pola Sidney; a brother, Michael Dinkins; and two sisters, Lori Dicken and Kristina Woolums.

Daniel was a devoted husband and father.  He had a servant’s heart and loved the Lord.

In lieu of flowers the family suggests that memorial donations be made to church missions at Amelia Baptist Church.
