Linda Dailey Obituary

On Tuesday, July 16th, 2019, Linda Catherine Dailey, loving mother of four children and beloved Fernandina Beach community member, passed away at the age of 70.

Linda was born on March 6, 1949 in Crummies, Harlan County, KY. She graduated from Theodore Roosevelt High School in 1967 in Chicago. She worked in Chicago for a few years before moving to and working at Fort Benny Georgia. She moved to South Carolina and married Wayne Jackson. They had a son. Her husband Wayne was tragically killed. Her son took on his name.
She remarried to a Christopher Dailey. She had twin girls, Andrea and Alysia and her youngest daughter, Erin.
Linda and her children then moved to Fernandina Beach, where she has lived for 22 years.

Linda loved working with children. She was often a substitute teacher at Yulee Middle School while her children attended. She worked for the Boy's and Girl's club in Yulee and was also active in the local girl scout troop. She loved the arts. She was often crafting or painting in watercolors. Because of her love of art her children also became artists. All of them currently work in various artistic industries.

Her quick wit, laugh, kind and compassionate spirit will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
She is survived by her son, Wayne Jackson of Jacksonville, FL; her three daughters, Andrea Dailey of San Diego, CA, Alysia Dailey of Jacksonville, FL and Erin Dailey of Seattle, WA; and a brother, Mike Baumgardner of Maine.
