Wesley "Wes" Deming Obituary

 

 

 

Wesley “Wes” Deming, 58, (known as “Ooner” to his co-workers and friends) passed away February 13, 2015 at U F Health in Jacksonville.

 

He was born February 2, 1962 in Jacksonville, FL and moved to Nassau County in 1971.  He was a retired journeyman iron worker and was a member of Iron Workers Local 597.  Wes was a Florida Gator Fan and loved to fish and loved being an iron worker. 

 

He was predeceased by his brother, Scott Deming; his father Curtis Alan Deming and his step father, Capt. Paul Burton.

 

Survivors include his son, Wes McNeil; his mother, Annette Burton; brothers, Curt Deming (Zena), Michael and loving sister, Valerie Odom; his former wife and friend, Darlene McNeil; close friends, Gary Woodruff; Valerie Platt and husband, Jeepy.

 

Graveside funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, February 20, at Green Pine Cemetery with Rev. Bruce Freeman officiating.
