Vivian Geiger Obituary

 

Vivian Edmondson Geiger, 84, passed away peacefully in her home December 28, 2025.

Born in Pavo, GA in 1941, she spent her formative years in Central Florida before moving to Jacksonville, FL in 1955 where she graduated from Andrew Jackson High School in 1960.

Vivian spent her career working for the Nassau County School District and raising three daughters. After 30 years of service, she retired from the school district to spend retirement with her husband of 62 years, George Geiger Jr. Meanwhile she remained active in the First Presbyterian Church of Fernandina Beach and enjoyed life together with her husband on their farm in Yulee.

Vivian leaves behind a devoted family: three daughters, Kim (Bruce) Anderson, Kay (Steve) Bean, and Deana Hatfield; five grandchildren Cody (Jammie) Hatfield, Kyle (Brandie) Anderson, Caleb (Britni) Hatfield, Bridget Anderson, and Blair Bean (Eythan) Robertson; and eight great grandchildren, Hunter, Gracie, Hailey, and Sophia Hatfield, Easton and Brooke Anderson, Hannah and Wyatt Hatfield, as well as many nieces and nephews. Beyond her family, she is also survived by many dear and special friends.

Vivian is predeceased in death by her parents Henry T Edmondson and Roberta H Edmondson , sisters Shirley Autore and Juanita Enter, and by her husband George Geiger, Jr.

Surrounded by her family, Vivian was laid to rest on Monday, January 5, 2026 at Green Pine Cemetery.
