Vera Johnson Obituary

Vera Wilson Johnson, 97, passed away January 19, 2022 at her Fernandina Beach, FL residence.

Mrs. Johnson was born in Newberry, SC, and moved to Fernandina Beach 19 years ago from Iva, SC.

She was predeceased by her husband Douglas B. Johnson and is survived by a son and daughter in law, Darrell and Michelle Johnson of Fort Collins, CO; two daughters and sons in law, Sherrill and Alan Boyer of Fernandina Beach, FL, and Lynne and Tom Wasson, also of Fernandina Beach; a brother, Al Wilson (Brenda); a sister in law, Mryle Wilson; brother in law, James Alewine; six grandchildren and three great grandchildren.

Mrs. Johnson taught school in the South Carolina school system for 17 years.
