Valera Pruitt Obituary

Valera “Granny” Pruitt, 74, of Yulee, Florida passed away peacefully on Sunday, December 5, 2021, surrounded by her family and loved ones. Val was born and raised in Idaho and moved to Nassau County in 1980. She enjoyed reading, sudoku, giving life advice, and her morning cup of coffee. Val was a loving, amazing, stubborn, and caring mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.  She will be dearly missed and always remembered as Granny to family and friends alike.

Val was predeceased by her husband, Robert Lee Pruitt and her parents, George and Annette Parent. She is survived by her three daughters, Angela Pruitt, Tammy Turbeville (Ashley), and Carla Harden; her five grandsons Christopher Pruitt, Alexander Vanwey, Austin Turbeville, Cody Vanwey, and Nathan Turbeville; and her two great-grandchildren (plus one on the way).

Val’s daughters will be hosting a celebration of life to be held in her honor as opposed to traditional funeral services. We request all of Val’s friends and loved ones to join us in celebrating her beautiful life at 86055 Merrylene Road, Yulee, Florida on Saturday, December 11, 2021, starting at 11 A.M. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to St. Jude, one of Val’s favorite charities.

Friends and family have shared their relationship to show their support.
