Obituary

 

 

Timothy “Timmy” Gillikin, 62, passed away Wednesday, January 11, 2023, at the Community Hospice Warner Center in Fernandina Beach, FL.

Timmy was born June 28th, 1960, in Norfolk, VA and moved in 1977 from Chesapeake, VA to Fernandina Beach, FL where he would meet the love of his life, Cynthia Boles.  He was of the Baptist Faith and a veteran of the U. S. Army Reserves.  He spent many years as a maintenance manager for local apartments before running his own HVAC/electrician business.

He was predeceased by his parents, Elton and Dorothy Gillikin; and by a brother, Elton Von Gillikin.

Survivors include his wife of 43 years, Cynthia Gillikin; a daughter and son in law, Kimberly and Kelly Liles of Callahan, FL; a sister, Jan Gillikin Draper and his brother in law, Ritchie Draper; two grandchildren, Annalise and Ethan Liles; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Timmy loved his family and spending time with them.  He always loved cooking for family, friends and anyone who needed a warm meal.   He also loved to fish and enjoyed collecting coins.  When relaxing, he liked car shows and game shows.

Memorial services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, January 14, in the Stephens Chapel at Green Pine Funeral Home with Rev. Jackie Hayes officiating.
