Timothy "Tim" Belcher

Timothy “Tim” Belcher passed away on October 8th, 2021, at the age of 70.

A true local, he was born, raised, and spent his entire life in Fernandina Beach. Tim’s greatest joy was being a part of the community: He was a proud member of the FBHS class of ‘69, volunteered as an usher and collected donations for St. Michael’s, ran errands for several local businesses (especially for the ladies at Cindy’s Nails), was a frequent visitor to both Joel’s bike shop on 8th street and the fire department, and, most recently, he treasured playing bingo at Council on Aging where he loved to win cookies. A loyal FSU fan, his most treasured possession was his autographed photo of Bobby Bowden and he was rarely seen not wearing Seminoles gear.

Tim is preceded in death by his parents Harold "Hal" and Claire and survived by his two brothers Jon (Eugene, OR) and Chris and sister-in-law Sharon (Fernandina Beach); his nieces and nephews Andy (Rachel) (Cary, NC), Kathryn (Vermont), Michael (Eugene, OR), and Julia (Cary, NC); his great nephews Andrew and Jack; and the many friends he made along the way.

In lieu of flowers, The Belcher Family requests that donations be made to Council on Aging, a place that brought Tim so much happiness. 

A memorial will be held at a later date.
