Rosalie Peeples Fountain, 80, of Fernandina Beach passed away Tuesday morning, June 9, 2026.

She was born in Brunswick, GA and moved to Fernandina Beach at the age of five. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Fernandina Beach and was retired from Terminal Bag Company.

Rosalie is survived by her two sons, Wayne Fountain and Greg Fountain (Theresa); a brother, Broward Peeples, Jr. (Carol); four grandchildren, Evan Fountain, Emily Fountain, Eva Dimmig and Linus Fountain; one great grandchild, Karlaih; nieces and nephews, Stanley and Pam Peeples, Darlene and Cameron Moore.

Rosalie was a loving mother and grandmother – affectionately known as Grano to her grandchildren.  She was an animal lover who adored her last dog, Fluffy.  She was a true Southern Gem.  Looking put-together and being color coordinated was her specialty.  She was kind, dedicated and helpful to those who were in need.  She fiercely loved her family.  Those who were near to her knew that she was a persistent woman in all that she did.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, June 12, in the chapel of Green Pine Funeral Home with Rev. Frank Camarotti officiating.  Interment will follow in Green Pine Cemetery.  The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. until the time of service Friday at the Funeral Home.
