Ronald “Ronnie” Goodin, 72, of Jacksonville, passed away October 21, 2024.
He was born in Jacksonville, FL, grew up in Norwood, and has lived in San Mateo for over 30 years.
He was predeceased by his wife, Deborah “Debbie” Goodin; a grandson, Curtiss Carlisle, Jr.; his parents, William and Helen Goodin and a brother, Johnny Goodin.
Survivors include his daughter and son in law, Jennifer and Curtiss Carlisle; two sons and daughters in law, Josh and Ammie Goodin, and Geoffrey and Angel Tessier; two brothers, Ricky Goodin and Buddy Goodin (Lanette); three sisters, Ann Lee (Charles), Mary Mobley (Billy) and Barara Ramirez (Juan); a sister in law, Marsha Goodin; grandchildren, Kerri Carlisle Brody, Caleb Goodin (Liz), Clay Goodin, Emalee Goodin, Dixie Tessier and Piper Tessier; and great grandchildren, Aubree and Jaxon Carlisle and Rose Brody.
Mr. Goodin loved sports, fishing, his truck, sitting on his back porch anytime of the day or night, and his buddy next door, Monkee. He was an expert pit master cooking barbeque. He loved his brothers and sisters and was a huge Mama’s Boy. He also loved the holidays and family get-togethers when he would be at his big grill cooking ribs. He was very proud of his children.
Funeral services will be held at 12:00 p.m. Saturday, October 26, in the Stephens Chapel at Green Pine Funeral Home with Pastor Al Force officiating. Interment will follow in Green Pine Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service Saturday at the funeral home.
