Robert “Rob” Morris, 54, of Yulee, Florida, passed away on July 12, 2026.

Born on March 14, 1972, in Memphis, Tennessee, Rob was the son of Wilma Boyd and George Morris. He made Fernandina Beach his home for more than 40 years and was a proud graduate of Fernandina Beach High School, Class of 1990. He later earned his degree from ITT Technical Institute in 1993.

Rob devoted much of his career to serving both his community and the animals he loved as an Animal Control Officer. His compassion for animal welfare and his willingness to help those in need left a lasting impact on many throughout the area.

Outside of work, Rob was an avid Jacksonville Jaguars fan. He loved history, spending time fishing, walking the beach in search of shark teeth, and enjoying the beauty of the Florida coast. He will be remembered for his caring heart, quiet strength, and deep love for his family, friends, and animals.

He is survived by his daughter, Katie Morris; his mother, Wilma Boyd; and his brothers, Randall Morris and Dennis Morris. 

A memorial service will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday, July 21, 2026, in the chapel of Green Pine Funeral Home. 

Rob’s memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
