Celebrating the Life of Robert Brown This Event will be live streamed - see link below
Robert Keith Brown, affectionately known as Robbie, passed away on May 24, 2025, in Jacksonville, FL, at the age of 44. Surrounded by love, Robbie’s vibrant spirit will live forever in the hearts of those who had the pleasure of knowing him.
Born and raised in Jacksonville, Robbie was the life of the party and a beacon of joy and laughter. His infectious smile and upbeat spirit made him a beloved figure in his community, and he always had a unique talent for making friends wherever he went. Whether he was dancing to his favorite tunes on Friday nights at Club Arc, passionately cheering on his favorite wrestlers, the Florida Gators or the Jacksonville Jaguars, or sipping on a strawberry daiquiri in the hot tub, Robbie lived life to the fullest, and he was a blessing to all who knew him.
Robbie’s heart was as big as his personality. He dedicated 20 years of his life volunteering at UF Health/Shands Jacksonville hospital, where he especially loved working in the Little Miracles department. Robbie first began volunteering while attending Palm Avenue Exceptional Student Center, which he graduated from in 2003. The joy he brought to others was a reflection of his own spirit, one that thrived in his community, especially at The Arc Village, where he was able to live independently for many years and where he formed many lasting friendships.
Robbie’s vibrant personality and infectious energy brought joy to everyone around him. As an entertainer, Robbie embraced his stage persona, Downtown Robert Brown, and delighted fans with catchy songs like "Got My Swag On," "Party Time," and "Crazy for You," which you can still find on iTunes and Spotify. He loved to sing and dance and was always up for a party. Robbie was also a wrestling superfan. His all-time favorite wrestler was Hulk Hogan, and he loved watching the shows with his friends and family. He had a wonderful sense of humor and was known for his playful teasing and ability to find laughter in everything.
Robbie cherished time spent with family. He is survived by his loving Mom and Dad, Cathy Brown and Mark Brown; his brother and sister-in-law, Allan and Wendy Brown; his niece and nephew, Taylor and Blake; his paternal grandfather, Bob Brown; and a multitude of aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends who loved him dearly. He was predeceased by his beloved grandparents, Keith and Anita Messer.
Robbie’s spirit will live on in the many lives he touched. He had a unique ability to make everyone feel happy and loved, and his legacy of kindness and joy will continue to inspire us all.
The family would like to extend their deepest gratitude to all the incredible individuals who played a role in Robbie's life, of which there were many.
