Raymond A. Keen, 62, passed away Saturday evening, August 1, 2020 at his Yulee residence.
Raymond was born in Boussac, France and moved to Yulee, FL with his family in 1971 from Aberdeen Proving Ground, MD. He was employed by Rayonier and was a member of United Steel Workers Union, Local 766.
He had a big heart and would do anything for anyone in his life. He loved life. His favorite things were his granddaughter, Tailynn, fishing, baseball trips with his son, and his life-long friends he had made since moving to Yulee.
Raymond was predeceased by his parents, Charlie and Miyo Keen and his brother in law, Ron Salmon.
Survivors include his spouse, Wendy Keen; two sons, Darrell Keen and David Keen; a daughter, Brantley Keen; a brother, Walter Keen (Susie); sister, Janet Keen Salmon; several nieces and nephews, other family members and many life-long friends.
Funeral services will be held at 6:00 p.m. Thursday, August 6, at the River of Praise Worship Center, 83410 St. Mark Dr., Yulee, with Rev. Jackie Hayes officiating. The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. until the time of service Thursday at the church.
In lieu of flowers the family will be developing an annual tennis scholarship for local youth in his name at a later date.
