Rachel Hodges

Rachel Ann Hodges, 71, passed away peacefully in her home on August 14, 2024.

There will be a memorial service Friday, August 30, at 5:30 p.m. in the Stephens Chapel at Green Pine Funeral Home with Pastor Mike Williams officiating.

She was born and raised in Jacksonville FL and was a previous member of Grey Gables Baptist Church.

She was a shipping/receiving clerk for Swisher Cigar Factory for many years before retiring early in her late 40’s. She was a resident of Yulee FL for over 36 years and enjoyed listening to the birds and frogs as she drank her coffee in the early mornings. In life, she was an avid seamstress and crocheter.  She will be remembered for the love she had for Jesus, her family, her dogs and watching The Price is Right.

She is survived by her daughter, DeAnn Busbee (married to Bobby Busbee) of Yulee FL; one grandchild and a half-sister, Theresa Williams, of Jacksonville FL.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Larry Hodges, who passed away in 2020.
