N. Howard Collins

N. Howard Collins, 92, passed away peacefully Saturday morning, November 15, 2025.

Mr. Collins was a native of Johnson City, TN.  He made his home in Jacksonville, FL for the past 18 years relocating from Yulee.

He was a member of Jones Road Baptist Church.  He sang in the choir and enjoyed going on bus tours with his church group.

Mr. Collins retired from Acree Dairy where he was a dairyman and assistant to the veterinarian.

He was predeceased by his wife of 53 years, Frances D. Collins and is survived by his wife of 18 years, Mary Collins.  Also surviving are his children, Michael Howard Collins (Dianne), Vicki Lynn Wollitz (Dan), Cathy Elizabeth Beasley (Joe), Karen Sue Earick (Bruce), Joette Harden, Jimmy Griffin (Becky) and Carol Chester.  He is also survived by 16 grandchildren and many great and great-great grandchildren.

Mr. Collins enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, softball and playing horseshoes.  He was an avid Tennessee Volunteers fan and loved spending time with his children and grandchildren.

Funeral services will be Friday, November 21, at 2:00 p.m. with Pastor Mike Reed officiating.  The family will receive guests from 1:00 p.m. Friday until the time of service at the funeral home.  Entombment will follow in the Garden of Remembrance Mausoleum in Green Pine Cemetery.
