Michael "Monkey" Carter

Michael “Monkey” Carter, 47, of Yulee passed away Thursday, June, 9, 2022 at the Community Hospice Warner Center in Fernandina Beach.  He was a life-long resident of the area.

Monkey was preceded in death by his father, Charles Carter, and a brother, Davy Carter.

He is survived by his sons, Austin Carter, Corey Carter, Wyatt Carter and Cash Carter; his parents, Chuck and Kathy Haynie; brothers, Charlie Carter (Brenda) and Bobby Ruiz (Abner); a sister, Charolotte Davis (Chuck); three nieces, three nephews, four aunts, three uncles, numerous cousins and his best friend, Sammy Dowdy.

Monkey was a loving son and brother. He was a loyal friend and was generous. He liked to fish.

There will be a memorial gathering to honor his life at a later date.
