Melba R. Murphy

Melba Ruth Allgary Murphy, age 88, of Yulee, FL passed away September 22, 2021 in Jacksonville, FL. 

She was one of Jehovah’s Witnesses and attended Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses in Yulee, FL.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Murphy of Yulee, FL and her two baby daughters, and her parents, Bill and Frazia Wall Allgary of Rabun Gap, GA.

Including herself, there are a total of 14 siblings:  Billy (deceased wife Moreen) Allgary of Macon, GA, deceased baby sister Wilhemina, of Rabun, GA,  David (Shirley) Allgary of Blackshear, GA, deceased Edward (Pat) Allgary of Lakemont, GA, Lester (deceased wife Dorothy) Allgary of Jacksonville, FL, deceased young brother, Larry Allgary, of Jacksonville, GA; Hilda (Billy) Allgary Rowe of Seymour, TN, deceased Harry (Pat) Allgary of Clayton, FA, Wanda (David) Allgary Smith of Jacksonville, FL, Sammy (Carol) Allgary of Rabun Gap, GA, deceased Dwight (Shelby) Allgary of Rabun Gap, GA, Betty (Kelvin) Allgary Francis of Knoxville, TN, Barbara (deceased Tommy) Allgary Hopper of Rabun Gap, GA; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Ruth is survived by five children:  Kathy (Chuck) Fountain Haynie of Yulee, FL, Ann (Dexter) Murphy Rowland of Callahan, FL, Janet (John) Fountain Williams of Yulee, FL/Albany, GA, Raymond (Naria Cross) Fountain of Callahan, FL, David (Carolyn) Fountain of Clayton, GA.

She had 23 grandchildren and several great and great-great grandchildren. She was loved by so many.

Memorial services will be on Zoom on October 16, 2021 at 3:00 p.m. by Brother Matt Winchebach of Yulee, FL.
