Mary Jane Albert, 94, passed away October 1, 2022. Mrs. Albert moved to Hilliard, FL four years ago from the Oceanway area of Jacksonville where she lived for most of her life. She attended the Good Samaritan Church at Hollyford.
She was predeceased by her husband of 60 years, John “Jack” Albert who passed away in 2005.
Survivors include her four children, Mary Alice Tucker (Brantly), Richard Albert (Sandy), Roy Albert and Peanut Bevill (Jimmy); a brother, Elmer N. Hill, Jr.; six grandchildren, ten great grandchildren and seven great-great grandchildren.
Her many names are a reflection of her love for so many people from family, friends and those lives she touched.
She was known as Mama, Grandma, Great Grandma, Mrs. Albert, Mary, Mary Jane, Aunt Mary Jane and even Mama Mary Jane.
She had four children of her own, but once you met her you became part of her family. She was a quiet woman who never met a stranger. To have known her was to Love her. She loved life itself and was always willing to listen to anyone’s troubles.
There were many things in life she enjoyed: family gatherings, gardening, fishing, camping, trips to the mountains, days at the beach and weekend get-a-ways with her husband who was the love of her life.
Gardening was always of lot of work, but oh the rewards were forever so sweet and worth every moment. She had such a green thumb and could make any flower grow.
Seeing her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren grow over the years is a true reflection of everyone’s love and upbringing.
Thank you so much for all you’ve done for so many of us and we will forever treasure your memories.
From the loving people who are here today and those who have passed before you our hearts are blessed to have been a part of your life.
