Marjorie "Marge" Knox Obituary

Marjorie “Marge” Knox, 90, passed away Thursday evening, November 26, 2020 in Fernandina Beach, FL.

Mrs. Knox was from Palm Beach Gardens, FL. and was staying with her daughter in Fernandina Beach. She was a long-time member of the Unitarian Universalist Church in Palm Beach Gardens.

She was predeceased by her husband, G. Richard Knox; a sister, Audrey Leopold and a brother Robert Manes.

Survivors include her son, Rick Knox of Satsuma, FL; four daughters, Carolyn Cooper (George) of Charlotte, NC, Terrie Galligar of Fernandina Beach, FL, Midge Barron (Jerry) of Charlotte, NC and Shawna Giacomini (Louis), also of Charlotte; and a sister, Ruth Weizenbaum of Amherst, MA. Also surviving are 13 grandchildren, Heather, Kirsten, Kyle, Shannon, Megan, Kirk, Hunter, Dillan, Grace, Olivia, Alexa, Leah and Bella; and six great grandchildren, Noah, Wes, Will, Brennan, Maddie, and Chloe.

Mrs. Knox was an avid golfer and played the piano. She loved her family and was a devoted mother and grandmother.

There will be a private family ceremony.

In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorial donations be made to the Nassau County Council on Aging, Community Hospice or the Alzheimer’s Foundation.
