Lillian Gardiner Obituary

 

Lilian Elizabeth Gardiner Nee Hepher (92), Lovingly known as Nana to all that knew her, passed away peacefully at home just as she wanted, on her terms.

She was born and raised in the United Kingdom and emigrated to the United Stated and 19 years young to start her new life, living her life to the fullest. She had four children and eventually returned to the United Kingdom via HMS Queen Mary. She was always up for a challenge, but she couldn’t stay away from the United States and returned in 2007 to live in Key West on the water. She loved to sit and watch the pelicans and her hummingbirds. At the end of her son-in-law’s deployment, she moved to Yulee Florida. Even took a trip back to the United Kingdom at 91 years old for the wedding of her eldest daughter.

She is preceded in death by her Father John Dominic Hepher, Mother Mary Elizabeth Sleigh, Brother George Gordon Hepher and Sister Joan Mariella Hepher and her partner in crime Phyllis Adams;  Her loving children Sharon (Chris) Doherty, Dale (Karen) Diedrich, Karla Diedrich, and Carolyn (David) Adams; her Grandchildren, Kerry (John), Andrew (Charlene), Leanne, Elizabeth (Anthony), Christopher, Liam (Becky), Tim (Charlotte), Rosie (Liam), Arabella, Samuel, Gabrielle (Dillon), Michael (Kacie), Timothy, Madison (David), Isabella; her great grandchildren Maverick, Maisie, Dayton, Shaquille, Lyric, Kacie, Sophia, Leni, Roni, Robin, Josh, George, Jack, Mollie.

Her Great-Great Grandchildren Jaxon, Hendrix and Baby Bump due in November; her nieces and Nephews Mary, Jean, Keith, Colin, Margaret, Denise, Andrew and Gillian

She was an honorary grandmother, (Nana) to Daniel (Daniel), Denise (Alyssa), Caleb, Savanna (Demetri), Zachary, Lindsey (Katelyn), Bonnie, Jessica, Anthony, Adrian, Jada and Abuela to Danielle and of course bisabuela to Mateo and Ella.

And not to forget her love of animals…She leave behind her loving Kane and her Pony Poppy and Bandit the guinea pig.

Her love for all children was evident in the number of extra children that she gained over the years. She will be sadly missed by all and will be within our hearts eternally.

Rest Easy Mum, we all love you.  Celebration of Life will Scheduled at a later date.  We ask that in lieu of Flowers, donations be made to Community Hospice of Jacksonville
