Larry D. Armes

Larry Donald Armes, 74, of Fernandina Beach, FL lost his battle with cancer on October 30, 2020.

He was born December 16, 1945 in Ft. Pierce, FL and had been a resident of Fernandina Beach for 14 years.

Larry spent the majority of his professional career as an executive for various consumer products companies. 

He was an outstanding athlete in high school lettering in football, basketball and baseball.  He was scouted in high school by the Cleveland Indians as a pitcher.  His nickname as a pitcher was “The Hurler.”  He loved to compete.

Later in life his passion was golf.  He recorded two hole in ones in his career.  He spent most of his time playing golf at the Golf Club at North Hampton.

Survivors include his two sons, Christopher and Scott Armes; one brother, Jack Armes and one sister, Liz Jordak.
