Joy Pearson

Joy Pearson, 55, of Hilliard passed away December 18, 2023, at the Community Hospice Douglas Center in Jacksonville.

Joy was born March 23, 1968, in Columbus, Ohio and moved to Hilliard 15 years ago from Fernandina Beach.

She was predeceased by her parents, James and Joyce Buzzard and by a brother, Joe Buzzard.

She is survived by her partner, Jack McGrath; a son on his wife, Shaun and Brittany Pearson; a daughter, Ashley Kone; three brothers, Jimmy, Jeff and John Buzzard; sister, Julie Atcher; and 16 grandchildren.

Joy’s favorite thing to do was spend time with her grandchildren.

Funeral services will held Thursday, December 28, at 11 a.m. in the chapel of Green Pine Funeral Home. The family will receive guest from 10 a.m. Thursday until the time of service.  Interment followed in Green Pine Cemetery.
