Johnnie Edwards

Johnnie Edwards, 80, passed away Monday, February 5, 2024, at her Fernandina Beach residence.

Mrs. Edwards was born in Douglas, GA and moved to Fernandina Beach in 1975 from Brunswick, GA.

She was predeceased by her husband, James T. Edwards; a daughter, Robin Hickey; two sisters, Betty Faye Pouliotte and Shirley DeLoach; and a brother, Eddie Wells.

Survivors include a son, Jack “Bubba” Joyner; two daughters, Donna Crews (Lamar) and Angel Mellott (Mitch); eight grandchildren Bryan Edwards, Brandee Edwards, Buddy Thomley, Austin May, Lane Mellott, Joey Hickey, Erin Gilbert and Jaclyn Hitchcock.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, February 12, in the chapel of Green Pine Funeral Home with Rev. George Lowe officiating.  The family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service Monday at the funeral home.  Interment will follow in Green Pine Cemetery.
