Jeffrey Edward Peck, 61, of Jacksonville, FL passed away on March 25, 2025, after a brief battle with cancer.
He is survived by his wife, Linda Peck; two children, Chase Peck (Rebecca) of Kentucky and Brandie Peck, also of Kentucky; and one grandchild, Margot Peck.
He is also survived by his two stepchildren, Jessica Williams and Kevin Swanson; and three step grandchildren, Seth Williams, Bentley Lynch and Kevayla Swanson.
Jeff was born on November 21, 1963, in Rome, NY to Clarence D. Peck and Audrey Dale Peck. He was the youngest of nine children. He is survived by three sisters, Phyllis Farley of Yulee, FL, Susan Tiliakos of Yulee, FL and Sheila Fewox of St. Marys, GA; and two brothers, Keven Peck of Hilliard, FL and David Peck of Yulee, FL.
Three siblings preceded him in death, Billy Peck, Debra Peck and Mary Jane Babb. Jeff also had many nieces and nephews.
Early in his childhood the family moved to Florida and he attended Nassau County Schools in Yulee and Fernandina. He graduated from Fernandina Beach High School. After graduation he enlisted in the U. S. Army to become a paratrooper. He was an Airborne Ranger with the rank of Staff Sergeant (E-6). He loved the military and jumping out of planes. His favorite duty station was Alaska. He had never seen snow but loved it at first sight. He liked the bears, moose and fishing in Alaska.
After getting out of the Army he worked for Consolidated Rigging in Jacksonville, FL for 25 years. He loved fishing and was an avid Florida Gators fan. The most important things in his life were his faith in God and his family.
Graveside services will be held with military honors on Monday, March 31, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. at Chester Cemetery with Bishop Carl Sheffield officiating.
