Jeffery Hartman Obituary

Jeffery Lee Hartman, 45 passed away July 12, 2020 at Baptist Medical Center in Jacksonville after his battle with COVID-19.   Jeff had such an enthusiastic mannerism about him.  He always lived life to the fullest in every aspect.  In any event he engaged in there would always be a story to tell about afterwards that would bring laughter to a crowd.  Jeff’s charismatic personality drew people to him and his generosity towards others was always visible.  He always wanted to help someone regardless of who they were.

Jeff met the love of his life, Melinda in high school.  He cherished everything about her and provided unconditionally for their family.  Together they have four beautiful children Cole, Kennedy, Caden, and Collin.  His family was his life and most valuable treasure!  He worked side-by-side with his best friend, his son Cole each and every day.  He referred to his daughter Kennedy as his princess, he was so proud of her being a Senior this year at The University of Florida.  He loved coaching and watching Caden and Collin play baseball every weekend throughout the year.  Jeff lived for their vacations, time at the Hunting Club in Kentucky, and being together all 6 as a family.

Jeff worked as a master electrician for the IBEW Local 177.

He is preceded in his death by his by father-in-law Fred Armstrong; grandmother, Louise Hartman, grandmother, Bessie Bishop; grandfather, Frank Johnson.

He is survived by his wife and their four children; mother, Virginia Johnson of Yulee; mother-in-Law Linda Armstrong of Fernandina Beach; brother-in- law Johnny Armstrong of Fernandina Beach; brother-in-law Jimmy Armstrong and his wife, Traci of Callahan; Kimberly Peterson and her husband, Clay of Yulee; Michael Armstrong and his wife, Jennifer of Chiefland; brother Frank Hartman; many aunts, uncles nieces, nephews, cousins, and close friends.

The family will have a private funeral service and a “Celebration of Jeff Parade” that will be posted on social media once finalized.
