Janice Scott Obituary

Janice Clide Jones Scott, 84, of Fernandina Beach passed away Sunday afternoon, November 6, 2022.

Mrs. Scott was born April 13, 1938 in Nassau County and was a life-long resident of the area. She was a member of Blackrock Baptist Church and was retired from the Nassau County School Board. She loved her two dogs, Buddy and Ollie.

Mrs. Scott was preceded in death by her husband, George Scott; her parents, Clyde and Ethyl Higginbotham and her son, Dwayne Jones.

She is survived by her daughter, Janet Hillis and her husband, Dana, of Naples, FL; three stepsons, Michell, Hadley and Dennis Scott, all of Fernandina Beach; eight grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.

Graveside funeral services were held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, November 8, at Green Pine Cemetery with Rev. John Kasper officiating.
