James “Quincy” Harris, 75, of Yulee passed away Thursday, June 3, 2021.
Mr. Harris was born August 11, 1945 in Fernandina Beach, FL and was a life-long resident of the area.
He was a member of the River of Praise Worship Center where he was a member of the Men’s Group and served as an usher as well as assisting with other church activities. He was a veteran of U. S. Military. After a long career in law enforcement and security, he retired in 2013.
He was predeceased by his parents, Woodrow and Bea Fullwood and his brother, Reese Harris. His biological father, Earl R. Harris, Sr. was killed in action during WWII before Quincy’s birth.
Survivors include his wife of 34 years, Judy Harris of Yulee, FL; sons, Kevin Harris (Sara) of Saginaw, MI and Woody Harris of Yulee; four daughters, Karen Price (Raymond) of Woodbine, GA, Sherrie Currin (George) of Hilliard, FL, Jessica Knight (Donnie) of Yulee and Beki Morris (Grant) of Fernandina Beach; and many loving grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Quincy was an avid golfer. He loved going to Disney World and spending time with family and friends. He enjoyed talking with people and never met a stranger. Quincy always had a joke to share.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, June 7, at the River of Praise Worship Center, 83410 St. Mark Dr., Yulee, FL 32097 with Bishop Larry Osburn officiating. Interment will follow in Green Pine Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests that memorial donations be made to the River of Praise Worship Center.
