Jack "Poppy" C. Curtright, Jr.

Jack C. Curtright, Jr., affectionately known as “Poppy” passed away Friday evening, February 17, 2023 at the age of 88.

Mr. Curtright was born September 26, 1934 in Atlanta, GA and moved to Yulee 48 years ago from Jonesboro, GA.  He was a veteran of the U. S. Navy serving as a Radio Operator.  He was a professional truck driver until his retirement.

He was predeceased by his wife of 51 years, Martha Curtright; his parents, Jack C. and Mildred Curtright; five sisters, Charlotte Chamblee, Jacqueline Curtright, Barbara Huie, Marilyn Curtright and Emma Curtright; and his daughter in law, Phyllis Curtright.

Survivors include five sons, Kenny Curtright of Yulee, FL, David Curtright (Sue) of Jacksonville, FL, Joe Curtright (Michelle) of Callahan, FL, Glenn Curtright (Roxanne) of Yulee, FL and Marty Curtright (Michelle), also of Yulee; 14 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren.

Mr. Curtright enjoyed football, camping, fishing and especially spending time with his family.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, February 24, at Green Pine Funeral Home with Rev. Doug Sides officiating.  Military Honors will be provided by the U. S. Navy.  Interment will follow in Green Pine Cemetery.
