Homer Vandervort Obituary

Homer Lee Vandervort, 84, passed away January 9, 2021 at Piedmont Hospital in Stockbridge, GA.

He was born December 13, 1936 in Portsmouth, Ohio and moved to Hampton, Georgia from Fernandina Beach after the passing of his wife. He was retired from the U. S. Navy.

Mr. Vandervort was predeceased by his wife of 60 years, Charlotte Ann Vandervort and is survived by two sons, Robert Vanderbort (Claire) and Kevin Vandervort; three daughters, Susan Stroup (Ernie), Tammy Corbin and Kelli Love (Richard).

He will be laid to rest with his wife at 1:30 p.m. Friday, February 5, at Jacksonville National Cemetery with Military Honors.
