Harland Pray Dodge, III

Harland Pray Dodge III, (69) known as Buzzy to his family and friends, passed away on July 8, 2024.

Harland was born on October 4, 1954 to Carolyn and Harland Dodge Jr. in Detroit, Michigan. Buzzy graduated from Westbury High school in 1973. He then went on to get his Associate of Applied Science from Brazosport College.

He started working on fishing boats when he was in high school and went to work for Western Geophysical after college. He continued to work with the same company throughout his forty three years in the Oil industry. He was married to Erica Dodge for thirty-six years and they have two children, Jacquelyn Ruth Irvin and Harland Pray Dodge IV.

 Buzzy was active in putting up bluebird houses around town and taking care of them to help the bluebird population grow. He also took pride in his yard and gardens which were always blooming with different flowers that support the eco system.

Buzzy was predeceased by his mother and father. He is survived by his oldest brother, Marc Dodge and his middle brother Gary Dodge. Also by his wife Erica Dodge, two children and their spouses, Jacquelyn and Jake Irvin, children Aubrey and Adelyn Irvin, H.P. and Giselle Dodge, daughter Amelia Dodge.
