Mr. Gross was born in New London CT to Gordon and Violet Gross.

He received his Bachelor’s Degree in Education from Central Connecticut State University and his Master’s in Education from University of Hartford which led to his 30 year service as a teacher in the public school system. After retirement in the schools he went on to work for many years as a Coordinator and Counselor for the Connecticut Department of Labor.

He also enjoyed participating in other VVA projects and events. He loved to ride his scooter in the local parades with all his VVA buddies.

Mr. Gross loved musicals and was a 30-year sponsor of the Good Speed Opera House in CT. He was an avid art collector and a very generous and thoughtful person. He was known as a true gentleman who believed in doing things the right way.
