George Alfred "Bubba" Pye

George Alfred “Bubba” Pye, 85, passed away peacefully on May 2, 2024 at his home in Yulee, Florida.

He was born in Charleston,  SC and moved to Yulee in 1972 From Jacksonville, Florida.

He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Veleria Jordan Pye; 3 sons and 2 daughters: Albert Pye (Kym) of Fernandina Beach, Fl, Gene Pye of Yulee, Fl, Steve Pye (Katie) of Yulee, Fl, Sandra Pye Snyder of Blackshear, Ga and Tammy Pye Callaway (Terry) of Yulee, Fl; 3 sisters: Vernell Pye Palmer of Palatka, Fl, Barbara Pye Branam of Saint Augustine, Fl and Carolyn Pye Byers of Satsuma, Fl; 11 Grandchildren and 26 Great-grandchildren and 4 loving pets.

He is preceded in death by his great-granddaughter, Olivia Mae Jacobsen.   

Bubba was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother and uncle. He loved to be outdoors and every year had a large vegetable garden where he grew and canned his own vegetables. The grandkids always looked forward to visiting Papa and Granny’s house and enjoyed riding with papa on his tractors and golf cart.

We will have a celebration of life, May 26, 2024 at 2PM. It will be held at the Moose Lodge in Yulee Fl at 850682 US Highway 17 South.
