George Geiger, Jr. Obituary

 

George W. Geiger, Jr., 85, passed away peacefully in his Yulee home November 7, 2025.

He was born in Folkston, Georgia, in 1940, and graduated from Yulee High School in 1958.  Shortly after graduation, he proudly served his country in the United States Army from 1958 to 1961.  Following his military service, George joined the Carpenters Union where he advocated for fair work practices from 1961 until his retirement in 1997.

George is survived by his wife of 62 years, Vivian Geiger; three daughters, Kim (Bruce) Anderson, Kay (Steve) Bean, and Deana Hatfield; five cherished grandchildren, Cody (Jammie) Hatfield, Kyle (Brandi) Anderson, Caleb (Britni) Hatfield, Bridget Anderson, and Blair Bean (Eythan) Robertson; and his adored great-grandchildren, Hunter, Gracie, Hailey and Sophia Hatfield, Hannah and Wyatt Hatfield, and Easton and Brooke Anderson.

He is also survived by his brothers, Charles (Weze) Geiger, Tommy (Wanda) Geiger, and Michael (Jennifer) Geiger, as well as many dear and special family and friends who will miss him greatly.

There will be a graveside service with Masonic Rites at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, November 13.  The family will receive friends from 9:30 a.m. until the time of service Thursday at the graveside.
