Gary Janco, 71, of Yulee, FL passed away Saturday evening, July 11, 2026.

Gary was born in Cleveland, OH, and had been a Yulee resident since 1983.  He retired from the printing and marketing industry and was a member of St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Mission in Yulee.

Gary was a life-long musician; a drummer who performed from the time he was in his teens until recently.  He played with bands in high school and performed with “Trop Rock” style bands and John Denver Tribute Shows throughout the United States.  Locally, he played with the Spur 40 Band in South Georgia and played percussion with his church group at St. Francis Catholic Mission in Yulee.

Gary was predeceased by his parents, John and Marilyn Janco; and his sister and brother in law, Nancy and John O’Donnell,

He is survived by his wife of nearly 51 years, Patricia Janco – actually, they first me when they were in the 9th grade and have been together since then.

Also surviving are his daughters, Caroline “Carrie Janco and Maria Janco; grandchildren who were the light of his life, Mateo and Alana; several nieces and nephews; and his loving friends.

A Memorial Mass will be celebrated Wednesday, July 22, at 10:00 a.m. at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Mission, 86000 St. Francis Way, Yulee, FL 32097.  The following day, Thursday, July 23, at 2:00 p.m., there will be a Celebration of Life in the Chapel of Green Pine Funeral Home, 96281 Green Pine Rd., Yulee.
