Gabriella "Gabby" Knight

Gabriella Knight, affectionately known to all as Gabby, 25 of Fernandina Beach, Fl was born on August 24, 1999, passed away August 19, 2025. Gabby was the beloved youngest daughter of Tony and Carrie Knight and Janna Payne.  

In addition to her parents, Gabby is survived by her sister, Alley Knight (Sage and Cooper Johnson), and her significant life partner, Alex Vancura and his children, Lilly, Riley, and Penelope. She is also survived by her maternal grandmothers, Christine Willey and Sherry McDonald and her paternal grandmother, Joy Knight.  Gabby is lovingly survived by her aunts and uncles, Shawn and Amy Knight, and Jonathan McDonald (Kim Abercrombie).  Gabby was loved by all her great aunts, great uncles, and many extended family members.  She was preceded in death by her maternal grandfather, Bob Willey, maternal grandfather, Ed McDonald, and paternal great-grandmother, Helen Clark. 

Gabby’s most precious survivor is her beautiful daughter perfectly named, Clementine Joy, and called CJ.  Some origins say that Clementine’s meaning is peace and happiness, and Joy evokes emotion of happiness and delight. CJ is the brightest part of Gabby’s legacy and through CJ, Gabby’s kindness, creative spirit, silliness and even sassiness will remain in our lives.  

Gabby loved to teach which she always wanted to grow up to be.  She worked with children locally, confirming her mix of being funny and compassionate was perfect for the classroom and inspired her to re-enroll in college to pursue a degree in education.  Her creativity flowed from the classroom and into her home as she loved to paint, and it was a way to spread happiness throughout her home and her family.   

Gabby’s laughter will forever echo in our hearts, deafening her absence.  Celebration of Gabby’s life will be conducted at 6pm, Saturday, August 23rd, 2025, at Green Pine Funeral Home, 96281 Green Pine Rd., Yulee, FL 32097.
