Frank Carman Bedell, Jr., also lovingly known as “Jimmy” passed away at the age of 84 at U F Health in Jacksonville on October 4, 2022.
Mr. Bedell was born in Fernandina Beach, FL and was a life-long resident.
He was a veteran of the U. S. Air Force and the U. S. Army and retired as a machinist after 30 years with Anheuser-Busch.
He was predeceased by his wife, Shirley Bedell, and a brother, Ronald Bedell.
Survivors include two sons, Frank Carman Bedell, III (Susan), of Savannah, GA and Mark Damon Bedell of Yulee, FL; two daughters, Harriet Bedell, of Fernandina Beach, FL and Brook Todd (Clayton) of Yulee; and a brother, Tim Bedell Jubito, also of Yulee.
Also surviving are 14 grandchildren, Carman Horton, Christopher Bedell, Ryan Bedell, Chelsi Duncan, Shadi Bedell, Lake Bedell, George Thrift, Noah Thrift, Samuel Thrift, Carter Thrift, Presley Todd, Piper Todd, Joshua Bedell and Joseph Bedell; and 10 great grandchildren, Bentley, Braxton, Jackson, Owen, Peyton, Savannah, Easton, Sunni, Rowan and Brooks.
Mr. Bedell loved his family and worked hard to support them. He was a loving and devoted husband and father. As a mechanic, he loved working on cars and racing. He also enjoyed fishing.
Frank Bedell was the foundation of his family and the family will proudly continue his legacy on with love, pride and loving memories.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, October 7, at the Journey Church in Yulee. Interment will follow in Green Pine Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. until the time of service Friday at the church.
