Etta (Peg) Brown (Tipton), 89, was born June 3, 1937, in Irvine, Kentucky, she passed away peacefully on July 20, 2026, in Jacksonville, Florida.

Etta enriched the lives of everyone she met. She was a true blessing to all who knew her, and her family is grateful for the love, kindness, and joy she shared throughout her life. She loved life, cherished her family and friends, and never met a stranger.

Etta is survived by her son, Gregory E. Brown; her grandsons, Cory Brown, Bryant Brown, and Cody Brown; her granddaughter, Shannon Harlow; her great-granddaughter Cadence Kaufman, her brother Bob Tipton and her many nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Edward and Mamie Tipton (née Marcum); her beloved husband, Claude E. Brown; her son, Joseph E. Brown; her grandson, Nathan Brown; and her siblings, Ona, Margie, Thelma, James, Silas.

Funeral services will be held in the chapel of Green Pine Funeral Home Saturday, July 25, at 11:00 a.m.  The family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service.  Interment will follow in Green Pine Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in memory of Etta Harlow Brown to Community Hospice Jane and Bill Warner Center for Caring in Fernandina Beach, Florida.
