Emeral "E.J." Morris Obituary

Emeral Julius “E.J.” Morris, 93, passed away Wednesday afternoon, September 29, 2021 at Baptist Medical Center South in Jacksonville.

Mr. Morris was born in Akron, OH and moved to Nassau County with his family when he was a child.

He was employed at the Lasserre Ford Dealership in Fernandina Beach in 1951 when he entered the U. S. Army. He opened Morris Paint & Body Shop in Yulee in 1965 retiring in 1993.

He is survived by his son, Michael Morris, of Folkston, GA; daughters, Ann Williams (Hugh) of Fernandina Beach, FL, and Dinky Lewis of Brunswick, GA; six grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.

When Mr. Morris wasn’t working he was fishing. His life basically revolved around fishing.

E. J. will be laid to rest at Jacksonville National Cemetery with military honors provided by the U. S. Army.
