Elena Eipert (nee Scaramella) died on April 5, 2026 at home amongst her family. She was born in the village of Castelcivita, near Salerno, Italy.
When she was fourteen, she sailed toNew York City by herself to join her older brother, Derigio, who had arrived years earlier tostart a life in the United States. She graduated from Frankford High School in Philadelphia.
She married Edward Reilly in 1958. They resided in Philadelphia and had two daughters. In 1976, she married James Thomas and remained in Philadelphia for the next 40 years. She was a homemaker and a bilingual secretary for Agosto Aerospace. She ultimately moved to Fernandina Beach, Florida, where she met and married her current husband, Donald Eipert, and was active in Council on Aging and the surrounding community.
She is survived by two daughters, Rosanna Psulkowski and Marina Day; eightgrandchildren- Elyse Zheng, Nicholas Psulkowski, Kyle Psulkowski, Sean Psulkowski, Dylan Psulkowski, Anthony Psulkowski, Olivia Day and Liam Day. She has six great grandchildren- Gaetano Zheng, Katarina Zheng, Araminta Zheng, Penelope Zheng, Woods Psulkowski andTheodore Psulkowski.
Graveside funeral services will be at Bosque Bello Cemetery at 11:00 a.m. Friday, April 10.
