Edith Martone

Edith Martone, 83, passed away Tuesday, June 25, 2024, at her Yulee residence.

Mrs. Martone was born in Waynesville, North Carolina and moved to Yulee in 1990 from Jacksonville, Florida.  She was a member of Yulee Baptist Church.

She is survived by her husband of 38 years, Mike Martone; daughter, Evelyn Horky; sons, Chester Hopkins and Michael Hopkins; step son, Michael Martone; her sister, Martha Presnell; grandchildren, Samantha, Tara, Michelle, Anthony, Darrin and Jerry; and seven great grandchildren.

Mrs. Martone was a loving and devoted wife and a faithful Christian.  She loved the outdoors.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Monday, July 1, at Yulee Baptist Church.  Entombment will follow in Green Pine Cemetery.  The family will receive friends from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service Monday at the church.
