Donovan Robert Turner

Donovan Robert Turner 41, passed away on a job site in Hickory Village in Yulee Friday, May 24,2024. Donovan was born in Austin, Texas on August 19,1982. He was a Christian and organ donor.

He was a Repair Service Technician with Dave Turner Plumbing working for his brothers in the company their parents Dave and Judith Turner founded 48 years ago. His father Dave preceded him in death. He is survived by his mother Judith and brothers D. J. (Melanie) Dale (Brandy), Daniel (Karen)and Dustin (Tiffany)Turner. He will be missed by countless nieces and nephews and dear friends.

Pallbearers are best friend Adam Kennett, brothers Dale, Daniel and Dustin Turner. Nephews Dallis and Dylan Turner.

Honorary pallbearers are Dave Turner Plumbing employees. His nieces Deanna Turner and Heather Jackson-Eley. Robert Park, Justin Giadrosich, Samuel Araujo Mora, Justin Yarborough, Christian Prestrige, Ronnie Jordan, Will Ivey, Phillip McCormick and Nate Green.

Donovan grew up in Yulee and attended Sonshine Christian Academy in Callahan, Yulee Middle School and Harvest Christian Academy in Jacksonville. He moved to Elizabethton, Tennessee where he earned his pipefitting certification through Tennessee College of Applied Technology. After his father died in 2021 he moved back home to work in the family business.  

Two years ago he bought a house in Lumber Creek in Yulee and planned  to begin classes for a Master Plumber license in the fall of this year.

His hobbies were music, traveling to concerts with friends, fishing and an avid video gamer.

His service will be Monday, June 3, in Green Pine Funeral Home, 96281 Green Pine Road, Yulee FL 32097.  Pastor Greg Gardell of Restoration Church of Kingsland, Georgia will officiate.  Visitation at 10:00 a.m. and service at 11:00. After service fellowship in the home of Monica Turner 96492 Chester Road, Yulee.
