Donna Jean (Cook) Grey

Donna Jean Grey (nee Cook), aged 81, passed away on October 20, 2024 in Fernandina Beach, FL.  Born on August 1, 1943, Donna was known for her vibrant personality, loving nature, and unwavering loyalty. 

Throughout her life, Donna was a beacon of perseverance and joy.  She was an avid crafter, skilled in crocheting, sewing, and jewelry-making.  Her creative spirit was matched only by her love for her family and devotion to her cherished cat, Cricket.

Donna is survived by her brother, Kenneth Cook; sister, Mary Stover; son, Wade Ashe (Kayla); daughter, Sabrina Christianson (Ronaldo); granddaughter, Savannah Christianson; as well as numerous nieces and nephews; as well as cherished friends and caregivers.  She was preceded in death by her parents, Junior Lee and Eleanor Cook; son, David Ashe; brother, Russell Cook; sisters, Linda Pleasant and Kathleen Benner Smith.

A service celebrating Donna's life will be held at a later date.  In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to Cat's Angels, Nassau Humane Society, or Nassau County Animal Control, all located in Fernandina Beach, FL.  Donna's legacy of determination, warmth, and spirited nature will continue to inspire all who knew her.
