Mrs. Dixie “DeeDee” Boles Johnson, 61, of Fernandina Beach, Florida, passed away on September 20, 2025. Born on February 24, 1964, in Atlanta, Georgia, and growing up in Norcross, Ga, DeeDee brought warmth and joy to those around her throughout her life.
DeeDee was the daughter of Gerald James Boles and Bobbie Nell Roper. She was also preceded in death by her brothers Jim Boles, Gary and Dale Brownlee. Her vibrant spirit lives on through her devoted husband of 29 years, Chip Johnson; their beloved son, TJ Johnson; and a close-knit extended family including sister-in-law Lisa Kay Johnson Abbott, brother-in-law Greg Johnson, sister-in-law Vera Johnson, father-in-law Charles Johnson, and mother-in-law Betty Johnson, among many other relatives and life-long friends.
DeeDee earned her real estate license and went on to become licensed in both Georgia and Florida. Her dedication to her profession reflected the same energy and positivity she brought to every aspect of her life.
Those who knew DeeDee will remember her as a loving wife, mother, and friend. Her infectious smile could light up any room, and she had a unique ability to make others feel welcome and appreciated. A true lover of the outdoors—a passion she often credited to her father—she found joy in fishing, golfing, beach days, and exploring the back roads with a sense of adventure that never waned.
Her memory will continue to bring comfort and inspiration to all who were fortunate enough to know her. A Memorial Service will be held on October 24, 2025, at 02:00 PM at Norcross First Global Methodist Church 2500 Beaver Ruin Rd, Norcross, Ga. 30071
