Diana Hurst

Diana Hurst, 71, of Fernandina Beach passed away Wednesday, June 26, 2024 after a brief illness at Baptist Medical Center in Jacksonville.

She was born in Beckley, WV and moved to Fernandina Beach in 1988 from South Florida.  She was a member of the River of Praise Worship Center and was the owner of Heritage Realty.

Mrs. Hurst was predeceased by a son, Richard McClure; a sister, Christine Guilliams and a brother, Bobby Guilliams.

Survivors include her husband of 29 years, Bill Hurst; a daughter, Christine McClure; brother, Tom Guilliams, Sr. (Emelia); sister, Teresa Murphy (Shawn); two grandchildren, Justin Stivers and Jessica Tyler; and three great-grandchildren, Jett, Layla and Brooklyn.

Mrs. Hurst enjoyed Caribbean cruises; in fact, she and her husband had been on over 25 cruises, often times with other family members. Her favorite color was of course turquoise. She also enjoyed baking and spending time with her great-grandchildren.  As a successful realtor she loved helping people sell or buy a home, especially first time home buyers. Her business came mostly from referrals from past customers.

There will be a celebration of life at 6:00 p.m. Friday, July 5, at the River of Praise Worship Center with a reception to follow in the fellowship area of the church. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to River of Praise 904-225-2596.
